Privacy Notice
Effective date: 30 September, 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how Shorts (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you use the service.
1. Information we collect
Account information you provide, such as contact details and sign-in method. Usage information generated when you use the service, such as pages and videos viewed, subscription status, device and browser details, approximate location from an IP address, and technical logs. Purchase information from a payment provider, such as a transaction reference, amount and billing status. Payment card details are collected by the payment provider under its own notice, not by us.
Cookies and similar technologies remember your session and preferences, measure use of the service, and may support advertising where allowed. Optional technologies can be managed through the cookie controls on the site.
2. How we use information
To provide access and playback, maintain subscriptions and purchases, prevent fraud, keep records required by law, answer support requests, and improve the service. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on the contract with you, our legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running a secure service, and your consent for optional cookies and marketing, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Who receives information
Providers that support hosting, video delivery, payments, account access, support, analytics and security receive only the information needed for their role. We may disclose information to advisers, regulators or law enforcement when legally required, or as part of a business transfer. A provider may process information in another country, in which case we use a lawful transfer safeguard.
4. Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete it or make it non-identifying. We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information, object to certain uses, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, use the support option in your account. We may ask for information to verify that the request concerns your account.
6. Age, updates and contact
The service is for people of legal age to form a binding contract where they live. If we learn that a younger person has supplied personal information, we will delete it where appropriate. We may update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change; the effective date above shows the current version. Questions about this notice can be sent through the support option in your account.
